About USAmerica News

Context for the news, measured and sourced

USAmerica News is an independent publication dedicated to factual reporting on current events and to the historical literacy that helps readers understand them. We keep sourced historical records separate from modern partisan opinion, and we correct our work openly.

Editorial standards

How we report and what we will not do

Every story is held to the same standard whether it covers this week's news or a event from the nineteenth century. Reporters identify their sources where they can, label analysis as analysis, and confirm claims against primary records before publication. We do not run partisan commentary dressed as reporting, and we do not present unsupported certainty as settled fact.

Our non-partisan commitment means we give contested subjects their documented context rather than picking a side. When we are wrong, we publish a visible correction that states what changed and why.

Verification

From source to published story

01

Discover primary sources

We begin with government records, court filings, archival documents, and first-hand reporting rather than secondhand summaries.

02

Verify and cite

Each claim is checked against its source, and archival references are cited so readers can trace the record themselves.

03

Edit for context

Editors test the framing for accuracy, weigh competing accounts, and add the historical background that explains the present.

04

Publish and correct

Stories go live with clear sourcing, and any error is corrected openly with a dated note at the top of the piece.
